Foundation of Teaching with Digital Tools (English) [DiL]

In our workshop, we offer lecturers and teachers the opportunity to familiarise themselves with key concepts and methods for contemporary teaching. This seminar is aimed at professionals who wish to adapt their teaching methods to the demands of the 21st century. Participants in this workshop will be introduced to the basic principles of modern teaching, with a particular focus on aligning teaching objectives and methods. Together we will explore how teaching can be structured more efficiently and how learning objectives can be defined more precisely to best meet the needs of students. A central aspect of the seminar is the use and integration of digital technologies, both in the lecture theatre and in the virtual seminar room. We emphasise how digital resources can be used as an integral part of an interactive and engaging learning environment. Through practical applications and discussions, participants will learn how they can use innovative teaching methods to increase the engagement and motivation of their students. Various approaches to activating learners will be presented and put into practice. This seminar is ideal for lecturers who want to develop their skills in designing engaging and effective teaching experiences. It provides an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues and learn from experts. We look forward to welcoming you to our workshop and shaping the future of teaching and learning together.

Learning Outcomes:
Applying constructive alignment in teaching: Participants will be able to demonstrate how they apply the principle of constructive alignment in their own teaching contexts by developing and harmonising coherent learning objectives, teaching methods and assessment methods.

Integration of digital tools into teaching concepts: Participants will be able to demonstrate how they purposefully use digital tools in their courses to create interactive and engaging learning environments, both in the lecture theatre and in the virtual seminar room.
Develop and implement active teaching methods: Participants will be able to identify and apply different active teaching methods to increase student participation and motivation and will be able to present concrete examples from their practice.
Reflection and evaluation of own teaching practice: Participants will critically reflect on their teaching methods and evaluate the effectiveness of the newly integrated approaches and technologies in order to plan future improvements and adaptations in their teaching.
