[DiL kompakt] Introduction to the Inverted Classroom

The Flipped Classroom (also known as "Inverted Classroom") is an instructional format that combines online self-learning phases with in-person sessions. Activities primarily focused on knowledge acquisition (such as instructional videos, podcasts, teaching presentations) are placed within a self-learning phase. During the online in-person phase with the learning group, time is dedicated to deeper engagement through discussions, group work, or practical exercises.

In this live online seminar workshop, we will explore how an existing course or lecture can be designed as a Flipped Classroom.

  • Fundamentals and formats of the Flipped Classroom.
  • Ideas for implementing the Flipped Classroom.
  • Quick implementation of your own course concept: preparation and online in-person phase
