Teaching for excellence: Mastering Teaching with University Didactic Foundations.
Join our basic didactics seminar designed especially for university teachers, both from foreign countries and Germany, who are at the starting point of their teaching in Germany or wish to revamp their courses. This seminar aims to provide you with a comprehensive overview of how to effectively conceptualize your courses and guide you through the crucial steps of the preparation process.
In this seminar, we follow the flipped classroom approach, allowing you to engage with essential topics in e-learning at your own pace beforehand. Reflect on your role as a teacher and your teaching philosophy, explore competence orientation and learning outcomes, and dive into planning models like constructive alignment and the Berlin model of didactics.
During our live synchronous meeting, we will delve into concrete "tools" for conceptual course design. With our guidance, you'll have the opportunity to create a first draft for the conception of one of your courses. We'll also equip you with valuable materials to support your teaching design endeavors.
Our dynamic methods include interactive discussions, engaging input from experienced trainers, and collaborative work in small groups. Through a dedicated Moodle course, you'll have access to preparatory resources that will enhance your learning journey.
After the seminar, the learning doesn't end there! We encourage you to take advantage of our individual advice and coaching sessions, where you can receive personalized guidance to further develop your course concepts.
